When her father died in 1892, Hattie was only 3 years old. Her mother was then remarried to John Adam Blair. However, he did not want the youngster, so her mother made Andrew D. Linn her legal guardian on May 4, 1892. Clara H. Linn recalls that it was actually John and Mary Linn that raised her.

• Her obituary was published in the Muscatine Journal on 18 February 1972 in Muscatine, IA.

¹² Funeral Services for Mrs. Hattie Healy, 82, of Wilton, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Wilton United Methodist Church. Rev. Sherman Tidball will officiate. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is being held at the Griffith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Healy died at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday at Mercy Hospital in Davenport.

A daughter of Will and Mary Marshal Linn, she was born Nov. 4, 1889 in Cedar county. She married Glen Healy April 23, 1913 at Muscatine.

Mrs. Healy was a retired teacher, having taught 50 years.

Survivors include her husband, Glen Healy and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
