John Milner Moon, IV (Johnny) was killed by a drunken driver on January 1, 1972, after leaving his fiance's house. No, he was not drinking. He was just beginning his life as a young adult, when it was taken from him by someone who was older, but not wiser. Johnny loved his family and his fiance and was looking forward to their wedding. His family loved him, and we still miss him. We think of what he might look like now; we think of the children he may have had; and we think of how our lives would be different now if he were still here. He will always be 20 years old to us. No words can express what you feel when, in the middle of the night, you get a call that someone you love has been in an accident. No words can express what you feel when you see your family grieving to the depths of their souls. No words can express what you feel when you know that someone you love has been taken away from you and you will never again get to see them on this earth.It is inexcusable when someone will take even one drink and get behind the wheel of a vehicle, because you never know what the consequences might be.
