Sidney Ruth Davidson ^{1 2}

  General Notes:

The names of Sidney R. Davidson and Ruth S. Davidson are determined to be the same person (Sidney Ruth Davidson) because of the following reasoning.

On the 1910 US Census, only the name of Sidney is found with a birth date of about 1899. On that same census form, her mother Sidney J. Houser, had indicated that all four of her children were still alive. The other three children were listed as living with the parents. There was no mention of the name of Ruth Davidson.

On the 1920 US Census, the widowed father was living with four daughters which included the name of Ruth S. Davidson, born about 1900. There was no mention of the name of Sidney R. Davidson.

Because of the closeness of the birth years, and the fact that the mother indicated that none of her children had died by 1910, and the middle initial of Sidney R. Davidson probably stands for Ruth, it seems reasonable to assume that the full name of the daughter was Sidney Ruth Davidson.

(NOTE - The Social Security Death Index provides a birth date of 3 Sep 1901 for Sidney Davidson.)
