William married Mary Ann Coleman on 17 August 1815 in , Kent County, MD. (Mary Ann Coleman was born on 26 April 1800 in , Queen Anne's County, MD,² died on 15 May 1872 in , Daviess County, IN ² and was buried after 15 May 1872 in Washington, IN ².)

  Marriage Notes:

The MEADE or MEADS family lived in Calvert County east of Patuxent River and in the neighborhood of Hunting Creek. Several branches of this family descended from Thomas, John and William MEADS, the sons of John MEADE. Like Mary and her husband, descendants of one or more of these brothers went to Queen Anne's County, Maryland, where they spelled their name MEEDS and established families there.

William and family came to Daviess County abt 1822 with his brother Joshua and his wife Sarah. They are also buried here.

William was born 1791 in Maryland - not 1771 as his stone says. This stone was erected many years after his death by his son in law. He married Mary Ann Coleman 17 Aug 1815 in Kent County, Maryland - and they were my ggggrandparents.
