Laura was supposedly remarried on 2 Mar 1949 in the Methodist Parsonage in Iowa City, Iowa. It is not known for sure who she married but grave sites at the Oakland Cemetery in Solon, IA indicate that she may be buried under the name of Laura M. Pohler. Her 2nd husband may have been Joseph F. Pohler.
The death certificate for her son, Samuel Alverin McLaughlin, shows the name of his mother as Laura Pohler.
