  Marriage Notes:

Thomas Swoap and Delitha Krebs were married in Feb 1859 and their first daughter, Florena was born within a year or so but evidently died young because her name does not show on the 1870 census list for the family. Sometime between 1873 and 1880 they divorced with all of the 5 remaining children in the household staying with Thomas, except for Sophornia who was married in 1879. Delitha was found in the 1880 census living as a housekeeper for a young widowed farmer in nearby Ruggles, Ashland County, Ohio. Nothing more is known about Delitha and it is not know if she ever remarried. On the 1900 census, Thomas still showed that his marital status was "divorced".
