Catherine and Abraham emigrated to Fairfield County, Ohio in 1803. When descending mountains they tied a tree to drag behind the wagon to prevent running over the team of horses. They settled in Rush Creek township on bluff on north side of Raccoon Creek, where they spent the remainder of their lives. Farm was in "Dutch Hollow". Catherine, Abraham, and his brother Joseph were among the organizers of Mount Zion congregation in Rush Creek Township, 1815. They worshipped in dwelling houses and barns until the church house was built in 1858.

Emigrated with parents to Rockingham, Virginia in 1780; listed for personal property tax as tillable with one horse in 1792, Linville Creek district; emigrated to Fairfield County, Ohio, in 1803; settled in Rush Creek Township on bluff on north side of Raccoon Creek, where he and his wife spent the remainder of their lives (farm was in "Dutch Hollow"); tanner, voted at election in Rush Creek Township 1804; Brethren in Christ (with brother Joseph was among the organizers of Mount Zion congregation in Rush Creek Township 1815) worshipped in dwelling houses and barns until church house was built in 1858; d. 15 Jun 1845, Fairfield County. Twelve children; spouses Sheaffer, Geil, Swartz (2), Huddle (2), Turner, Shumaker, Sites (2), Blair.
