A wedding dinner, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie V. Walton, who were married at 4 p. m. Sunday at the manse of the First Presbyterian church here, was given at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Luella Fiderlein at Atalissa at 6 p. m. Sunday. A three tier wedding cake, bouquets of cut flowers and candles, in the bride's chosen colors of green and white, decorated the table. Guests at the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. V. C. Walton, Mrs. Feme Hillman, and Belle Walton of Wilton; Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Lundy, Nevin Hinkhouse and J. M. Shetler, of West Liberty; the Rev. and Mrs. H. E. Dieter, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Shetler and Louis,Chauncie, Shetler, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Schafnit, Mr. and Mrs. John McColm, Miss Lucille Spilger, Clifford Freyermuth, Mrs. Luella Fiderlein and Louis. Six of the bride's school pupils, Carl Dotson, Leroy Jewett, Lavone and Alma Staley, Betty Newton and Jean Anne Lindle served the dinner, assisted by Mrs. W. A. Smith and Mrs. C. L. Hoverter. Dr. David I. Berger performed the marriage, using the double ring ceremony. The immediate families were present, with Miss Bell Walton, sister of the bridegroom and Louis Fiderlein, brother of the bride, as attendants. The bride's gown was of navy blue lace and she wore a shoulder corsage of white gardenias. Her accessories were white. Miss Walton wore a powder blue dress and white accessories and a corsage of pink roses. |
