Bobby 'Bob' Jean Allen, 81, of Tipton, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at his home. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 am, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with the funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00 am. Graveside service will conclude at Tipton Masonic Cemetery, with Military Honors. A memorial fund has been established. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com.

Bob, son of Alex and Minnie (Calhoun) Allen, was born on March 4, 1937 in Mountain View, Arkansas. He attended school before enlisting and serving his Country in the United States Navy. On May 13, 1964, Bob was united in marriage to Judy Kay Ford, in Rock Island, IL. Together they had 5 children; Jim, Ben, Sheila, Stacey and Steven.

Employment years for Bob began in the Construction Industry. He was also a Logger, and drove truck for Pelling and Quad City Construction, before retiring from Sheller/Globe in 1999. After retirement, Bob enjoyed reading, watching westerns, NFL (Miami Dolphins), NASCAR (Jimmy Johnson) and the Chicago Cubs. He loved family gatherings and spending time and laughing with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Bob is survived by his wife, Judy Allen of Tipton; children, Jim (Lisa) Allen of Tipton, Ben Allen (Christopher Calderan) of Rock Island, IL, Sheila (Michael) Dirks of Mountain Home, AR, Stacey (Stephanie) Allen of Pensacola, FL and Steven (Mary Gault) Allen of Tipton; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, John Williams, Charles Franklin, Arlis Monroe, Mearle L., Terral LaVerne, and Howard Lee Allen; half-siblings, Hazel Bonita, James Henry, L. E. and Cora Mae Little.
