James was married about 1880 I believe in Osage, Kansas. They had several children but according to his obituary in the Meeker Herold only two were living at the time of his death. His wife or daughter's name may have been Lorena L. Goff who married William Wilson 27 Jul 1903 in Rifle, Colorado.
