bullet  General Notes:

Bryan D. Bills (http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvpleasa/cemetery/bills.htm):
NOTE: Catherine and Spencer Hendrickson are listed in the "Pleasants, West Virginia Genealogy Page" as being buried in the Bills Cemetery, at Calcutta, but I really do not believe this to be the fact. I have always heard the rumor that they were either buried in the Bills Cemetery or the Rinehart/Cecil Cemetery and I really believe that if they are in this area at all they are in the Rinehart/Cecil Cemetery which is located much closer to the old Hendrickson home on Schultz Fork Creek run. Also, it has been rumored, that Roberta (Rinehart) Hendrickson wife of Robert Hendricks on was buried in the Bills or Rinehart/Cecil Cemeteries, although there is no stone for her in either cemetery, she could very well be in the Bills Cemetery because she would have died sometime after 1874 when hers on Jacob Spencer was born.

As near as I can determine, the first three graves in the Bills Cemetery are those of, first, Joseph M. Bills, 30 Aug 1853/20 Apr 1857, son of Joseph and Emaline (Reynolds) Bills, second, Eliza Ellen Bills, 2 Sep 1855/9 Nov 1862, daughter of Joseph and Emaline Bills, third, Joseph Bills, 8 Apr 1813/30 Sep 1887, husband of Emaline (Reynolds) Bills.

Therefore, assuming that the death dates of the elder Hendricksons are correct as given - 30 Aug 1856, it does not seem logical to me that anyone would have been buried there before the son of Joseph and Emaline Bills considering that the cemetery is located on the farm of Joseph Bills.

Also, part of the rumor was that this particular pair of Hendricksons did not come to this part of the country at all, and were buried some where around Gormania, near the West Virginia and Maryland border.

Therefore, lacking any hard facts, I only bring this rumor some seventy-odd years ahead. I would welcome any real facts.
