  General Notes:

There is a 1910 US Census record which shows a "Ann V. Hawkins", age 72 and widowed living by herself in Jefferson, Newton, Indiana. She indicated that she gave birth to 6 children of which 4 were still alive. Otherwise there is no other proof that the person in the census was Ann Virginia Hawkins especially since her one son was born in Iowa and he eventually died in Missouri or that the widowed mother moved back eastward from Iowa into Indiana.

Ann married Robert Andrew Chambers, son of William Chambers and Elizabeth Darner, on 19 October 1854 in , Morrow County, OH.¹ (Robert Andrew Chambers was born on 8 June 1829 in , Morrow County, OH ^{3 4} and died before 1 November 1934 ⁴.)
