• Her obituary was published in The Times Recorder on 10 April 1942 in Zanesville, OH.

⁷ Mrs. Etha L. Darner, 76, widow of the late William Darner, died at her home in Sonora at 6 o'clock Thursday evening, following an illness of four weeks. Her condition had been serious the past two weeks.

Mrs. Darner spent most of her life in the Sonora vicinity. She was born in Illinois on August 21, 1865, the daughter of George and Mary Leasure. She was a member of the Sonora Methodist church.

Surviving the deceased are one daughter, Mrs. Lewis Bowers of the home; two brothers, Elry Leasure of the Frazeysbug road, Zanesville, and Plummer Leasure of Norwich; two grandchildren, Byron Johnson and Donald Johnson of Sonora, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Sonora Methodist church with Rev. J. W. Bell officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery by the Shirer funeral home.

The body is at the home.
