This family seemed to enjoy using their middle names. In the 1900 US Census both Joseph and Nancy used their middle name as well as their daughter Talma. In the 1910 US Census middle names were used by Arthur, Talma, and Reta. In the 1930 US Census Talma once again stuck with her middle name. And the gravestones for both Joseph and Nancy show only their middle names.
