Did Ella have two or more nicknames or did Julius have more than one wife? Although several of her names found on documents are always the same, it is doubtful that Julius had more than one wife because of the South Dakota census cards which show a marriage date of 1885 on all those found so far. The 1900 US Census showed her name as "Sarah E.". The 1915 and 1925 census cards for Julius shows his wife's name as "Ella A.". Both the 1900 US Census and the two state census record record her parent's birth locations as the same. Therefore, Sarah and Ella are probably the same person.
