Susie Kathleen Knotts, 82, of Buckhannon, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at the home of her daughter in Ripley.

She was born in Calhoun, the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Bland and Laura Johnson Bland. She was a member of Buckhannon Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and First United Methodist Church, Buckhannon.

Surviving are one son, Stephen K. Knotts of Ripley; three daughters, Karen L. Fillingame of Mercer, Pa., Bernita K. Epling of Ripling and Karla S. Upton of Marie; one brother, George Lawrence Bland of Mt. Zion; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Bernard Knotts; three brothers, John H. Bland, Andrew "Jack" Bland and Charles "Noel" Bland; and one sister, Mary Z. Walsh.

Services were held at Poling-Saint Clair Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. William McMorran and Rev. Mark Flynn officiating. Burial was in Buckhannon Memorial Park.
