GRANDSON SAILS FROM SYRIA
Robert J. Gibbons, grandson of Mrs. John Gibbons of Cardington, sailed from Beirut, Syria, on board the SS Exeter bound for New York on May 5. Gibbons is a member of the foreign service of the United States department of state in Washington, D.C., and has for the past two and a half years been serving in the American legation at Teheran, Iran (Persia) in the near eastern division. Upon his arrival in New York about May 29, he plans to proceed immediately to his home in Galion, where he will spend several months inviting his parents, friends and relatives.
