GRANTSVILLE - Veda Campbell Morrison of Grantsville passed away March 5, 2 004, 11 days short of her 99th birthday, at the Willows Center in Parkersburg.

She was born March 16, 1905, at Grantsville, a daughter of the late John and Bertie Deem Propst. She was a charter member of the Grantsville Women's Club and a 50-year member and past matron of Grantsville Chapter 73 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Grantsville, where she had been a Sunday School teacher and a member of the church choir.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Milfred G. and Marjorie Campbell of Battle Creek, Mich., and Gary L. and Carol Campbell of Parkersburg; one grandson, Douglas Campbell and his wife, Sandra, of Battle Creek; two granddaughters, Marcia Campbell and her husband, Joe, of Parkersburg and Dana Hubbard and her husband, David, of Morgantown; and six great-grandchildren, Scott, Alex, Erin, Steven, Chrissy and Greg.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Guss Campbell, in 1945; her second husband, Troea Morrison, in 1989; and a sister, Stella Sears.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Tuesday at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Grantsville. Friends may call from 1-3 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
