Narcissus was born on the Barr farm where the Calhoun County Park is today. She married Allie Hardman and they made their home on Barnes' Run, between Mount Zion and Hur. She had seven children, but five of them died as infants. Her daughters who survived her were Lelia Hardman Vandale and Thelma Hardman Smith.
