Birth Year 1914 or 1915?
There is an original birth certificate issued on 5 May 1914 for a daughter born to John and Viola Oliver. That certificate has no given name entered on it. Apparently things are or were done somewhat differently in Texas than other states so instead of creating a "Delayed Birth Certificate" in which the given name can be entered, the State of Texas created an entirely new birth certificate in 1943 at the request of Viola Oliver in which she gave the birth date as April 11, 1915. My guess is that she needed a copy of a birth certificate for her daughter, Bessie, and maybe thinking that one never existed, she merely gave the birth date to the best of her knowledge and the state of Texas created one with that incorrect date.
