Leah Jane Colbert, 63, Gorin, Missouri, formerly of Chickamauga, Georgia, died Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

She was born October 11, 1951, at Conesville, Iowa, to Frank U and Harriette Jane Wagner Bass.

Leah was a graduate of Columbus Junction High School, Class of 1971.

She was united in marriage to Charles Robert Colbert on October 22, 1976, at Columbus Junction, Iowa. They spent there married life in Chickamauga, Georgia. Charles preceded her in death in 2005.

Leah worked as a waitress and also was a nurse's aide. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Lee; her husband; a brother, Jeffery Bass and three sisters: Barbara Skipton, Veronica Berry and Toni Sears.

Surviving are a son, Jesse Bass and his wife, Michelle, of Kahoka, Missouri; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a sister, Tracey Ross, of Muscatine, Iowa; five brothers: Bill Bass, Boot Bass and his wife, Candy; Fred (Pup) Bass and his wife, Ginger all of Gorin, Missouri; Clint (Doc) Bass of Polk, Florida and Pete Bass of Kahoka, Missouri

Cremation has been accorded.
