 General Notes:
The 1850 US Census shows two daughters named Elizabeth and Eliza. The name of Eliza has been used as a shortened nickname for Elizabeth within other families so many researchers have assumed that these two names were for the same person. The 1850 US Census clearly shows that they were two difference individuals.
Some confusion arises because the 1850 US Census shows Elizabeth to be the oldest whereas the 1860 and 1880 show that Elizabeth was younger than Eliza. Apparently the 1850 US Census has the names of Eliza and Elizabeth reversed.
