• His obituary was published on 7 Jun 1941 in Eddyville, IA. ⁵ Eddyville - Thomas Van Winkle, 93, died about 9 o'clock this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. (Matilda) C. A. Williams, south of Eddyville.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Ruth Jackson, near Denver, CO., and three sons, Joe and James, both of Pontiac, Ill., and Ivan, of Norfolk, Va.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

Eddyville - Funeral services for Thomas Van Winkle, 93, were held this afternoon at the Van Dyke funeral home. Burial was in the Kirkville cemetery.
