Hello Brian:
I am a grandson of Alverdo Preston. I have a certified copy of his birth record that states he was born in 1884, on March 29th. The date it was recorded was June 24, 1884. ."I, W. F. Spicer, Probate Judge and Ex-officio Clerk of the Probate Court within and for said County, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a full and correct transcript from Vol. 2, Page 128, of the Record of Births, required by the Laws of Ohio, to be kept in the Probate Court of said County".

His certified death certificate states he was born March 30, 1883 as does his gravestone at the cemetery. According to his family (from him) his mother Lillie B. Currier died at his birth. The family may not have been correct when they gave the information for the death certificate from what they remembered. Thought I would pass my info along to you, I see you on Ancestry in a lot of places.
