Researcher William Richards records that Robert Gault, Sr. died in 1813 while in the Army in Sandusky, Ohio. However, Robert Gault, Jr. was born in December of 1814 so one of these dates must be off slightly. (Brian L. Lightfoot)

He was drafted into the army Oct. 1, 1814. While in camp at Cleveland he was taken sick and died at Rocky River west of Cleveland. After his death his son was born.

Charlotte Bowman (1794-1863)
Charlotte Bowman, daughter of Philip Casper and Katherine M. (Fast) Bowman, was born in Fayette county, Pennsylvania March 2, 1794. She came to Ohio with her parents in 1806, when they located in Green township, Columbiana county, (now a part of Mahoning county).
Charlotte Bowman married Robert Gault about 1812. They settled in Jackson township, Mahoning county, Ohio.
During the war of 1812 Robert Gault was drafted into the army October 1, 1814. His company was in camp at Cleveland, Ohio, where he was taken sick. The company then proceeded to Detroit. At Rocky River, about ten miles west of Cleveland, Robert Gault died.
After Robert Gault 's death a son was born December 8, 1814. This only son was called Robert Gault.
