• His obituary was published after 17 December 1920. Benjamin F. Fast was born February 6, 1872, in Center township, Mercer county, Ohio and spent his whole life in the immediate community. He was a son of Jacob and Barbara Fast, who with two sisters and one brother preceded him in death. He departed this life December 17, 1920, aged forty-eight years, ten months and eleven days. He was united in marriage to Flossie E. Duncan, January 27, 1897. To this union were born three children, two daughters and one son. He was converted twenty-five years ago under the ministry of Rev. C. S. Johnson. Being of a very sociable temperament, he made and kept many good friends. The reason for his untimely and unexpected death will doubtless remain a mystery. He was a kind and loving husband and leaves the companion, three children, four sisters, two brothers and many other relatives and friends to mourn his death. Funeral service was conducted by the writer at the Old Town U. B. Church, assisted by the pastor, Rev. D. C. Ross. Burial at Elmgrove Cemetery, St. Marys, Ohio.
