The 1940 US Census list Jennings in Huntington, WV as a minister at age 28 with 5 years of college education. He may have received his ministerial education there, met and married his wife, Jeanette Kinnaird, there later in 1940. There is some documentation that suggests that she may also have been a minister but those records have multiple names corrupted and other data that is mixed up so they may not be accurate.
