NOTE - The enumerator mistakenly listed the family of Addison's father and Mother as the same family #4 instead of family #5. The relationships below are all to the father and not to Addison.

John W. Marple..(Head)..75..PA..Farmer..(Father to Addison)
Ruth Marple..Wife..70..WV..Keeping House..(Mother to Addison)
Rose E. Robinson..GDau..18..WV..At Home..(Niece)
Omar L. Robinson..GSon..17..WV..Farm Laborer..(Nephew)
Electa C. Robinson..GDau..14..WV..(Niece)

NOTE - Addison Marple was an uncle to the three Robinson children. They were listed as "grandchildren" but that relationship was only to the elderly parents, John W. and Ruth Marple who were living with Addison, at the time of the census. The mother of the Robinson children was Addison's sister, Almyra Arminta Marple, whose husband had died in 1865. It is not known where Almyra was at the time of the 1880 census or why her children had to be cared for by her brother and his wife who had 10 children of their own living at home at the time. I doubt if the elderly parents who were in their 70s were actually caring for the 3 teen-aged Robinson children.
