On the 1880 US Census, Harriet was listed alone as the head of the household and she was noted as being "widowed". She has no occupation listed and there are no other wage earners in the household. I don't know if her listing as a widow was a mistake or what but James Anson Williams rejoins the household for the 1900 US Census..
