The marriage license was issued on 07 Aug 1882 but the actual marriage did not take place until over 30 days later on 12 Sep 1882. Benjamin's name was listed as "B. Frank Methven" and Emily's as "Emily V. Roberts". Benjamin's age was given as 28 and Emily's age as 30 both of which are in slight conflict with what was believed to be their true birth dates. The license was filled out and signed by what appears to be "Rector of Trinty Church".
