Either this is the wrong John W. Methven or else he seriously lied about his age on the marriage license. If his birth date was 25 Jan 1856, then his age should have been about 46 years on the marriage license instead of the 38 that was provided.

Lyda Jane Dean may have been previously married as the license appears to show her name as "Mrs. Lyda Jane Dean" which means Dean could be her previously married name instead of her maiden name.
