bullet Marriage Notes:

The marriage year of about 1854 does not seem correct because if the 1841 birth year of the wife Mary is correct, then she was only 13 years old when married. Supposedly their son, William, was born in 1855 so that would make the marriage year of about 1854 seem correct then perhaps the birth year of Mary was several years before 1841 which would make her older when married. Her birth year of 1841 is provided by her age of 19 on the 1860 census.

John next married Sarah A. about 1855. (Sarah A. was born on 17 April 1838,¹ ⁵ died on 26 October 1857 in Bluff Springs, MS ¹ ⁵ and was buried after 26 October 1857 in Sallis, MS ⁵.)
