• His obituary was published in March 2003 in Carrollton, MO. Harold Robert Lightfoot, age 78, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri.

He was born November 7, 1924 in Hale, Missouri the son of Earl and Edna Landreth Lightfoot He graduated from Carrollton High School.

On February 14, 1946 he married Pauline Marie Duffy in Bellaire, Maryland. She survives at the home.

Harold was a salesman for Oliver from 1946 to 1965. He was an engineer for Carrollton Municipal Utilities for twenty-three years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Carrollton, Missouri; Carroll County Shriners; and was Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Pence-Lovell-England Post #1773.

Harold is also survived by three daughters, Maureen Carole Scott and husband, Tim, Maple Hill, North Carolina, Debbie Hinkel, State of Maine, Cathy Litten, Buckner, Missouri; four brothers, Raymond Lightfoot, Hale, Missouri, Jake Lightfoot, Kansas City, Missouri, Billie Lightfoot, Kansas City, Missouri, Gary Lightfoot, State of Wisconsin; two sisters, Helen Walker, Blackburn, Missouri, Bonnie Dennis, Hale, Missouri; four grandchildren, Shane Alexander and wife, Shannon, Los Angeles, California, Shaun Scott and wife, Vicky, Gulfport, Mississippi, Heather Litten, Buckner, Missouri, Wendy Scott, Jacksonville, North Carolina; three great grandchildren, Timothy Scott, Gulfport, Mississippi, Hayle Watton, Buckner, Missouri and Tiffany Scott, Gulfport, Mississippi; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Fern.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2003 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Joe Barone and Reverend Bert Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, Missouri. Military Honors will be provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Pence-Lovell-England Post #1773, Carrollton, Missouri.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2003 with a Masonic Service at 8:00 p.m. at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

The family suggests contributions be made to the Shrine Hospital or First Christian Church, Carrollton, Missouri in memory of Mr. Lightfoot. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S Main, Carrollton MO 64633.
