Age 97, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Indian Hills Retirement Village, Chillicothe, Missouri.

Evelyn was born April 5, 1910 the daughter of Lawrence and Nellie Mae (Rush) Parks in Hale, Missouri. On June 30, 1926 she was married to Clyde Lightfoot in Carrollton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2000.

Evelyn had lived her whole life in Hale, Missouri with the exception of four years in Arizona. She was a member of the Hale Baptist Church, Hale, Missouri where she was a Sunday school teacher and GA leader for many years.

Evelyn is survived by one son, Donald Lightfoot and wife Janet of Hale, Missouri, two daughters, Betty Barlow of Missouri, and Ella Schamp of Lincoln, Nebraska, nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, and 13 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Chester Parks, Raymond Parks, Russell Parks, and Kenneth Parks, two sisters, Cecil Whitehead., and Florence Parker, two brother-in-laws, Russell Barlow, and Lewis Schamp.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri. There will be a family visitation on Friday, September 28, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri. Friends may call on Friday, September 28, 2007 from 12:00 noon until 9:00 PM at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri. Burial will be at the Hale Cemetery, Hale, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hale Cemetery and may he left at the funeral home or be mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri.
