bullet General Notes:

Lived on Turkey Run in Upshur County. Later moved to Spruce Run, Upshur County in 1876. In 1893 they bought a large farm on Three Lick near Gaston in Lewis County. About 1914 they moved to Gaston where they spent their remaining years. Six of their thirteen children died at a very young age. Three died during an epidemic of diphtheria early in 1887, two on the same day. These six children are buried at the McVaney cemetery on Upper Hacker's Creek. Elias died of nephritis at the age of 86y 7m 23d.
