One researcher provides a date of birth as "7 Sep 1860" (which everybody has copied) but there are no source citations to prove that date.

His wife Hattie was noted as widowed in the 1940 US Census but I have yet to locate them in the 1930 census. The best I can do for a date of death is "between 1920 and 1940".
