³ Rev. Harold A. Ahalt, retired Lutheran minister of 3731 Mainland Boulevard, North Pinellas Park, Fla., died Sunday evening, Aug. 24, at the Monroe County General Hospital, East Stroudsburg, Pa.

He was vacationing at the home of his daughter. Born in Middletown, Nov. 21, 1905, he was the son of the late Alonza J. and Hattie M. Flook Ahalt.

Rev. Ahalt graduated from Middletown High School in 1923, Gettysburg College in 1928 and the Gettysburg Theological Seminary in 1931 when he was ordained to the Lutheran ministry.

His pastorates were from 1931 to 1940 at Union Deposit, Pa.; 1040 to 1951, Watsontown, Pa.; 1951 to Port Charlotte, Fla., as a mission developer, 1961 organized the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Charlotte, serving there until his retirement in 1971, when he moved to Pinellas Park, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret E. Bittle Ahalt, two daughters, Mrs. Lenore Bandler, Ithaca, NY; and Dr. Janet Rodgers, New York City; two grandchildren, Steven and Robert Bandler; one brother, Edgar L. Ahalt, Hyattsville.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 11 a.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown, with Dr. Emmanuel J. Hoover officiating, assisted by Dr. George E. Little, a classmate from York, Pa.

Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.

The body may be viewed at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 49th Street, Pinellas Park, Fla., 33565. Arrangements are being made by the Bittle Funeral Home of Myersville.
