4 Brunswick Fisherman Is Found Dead In Boat. Fatally stricken with a heart attack while fishing on the Potomac River Tuesday, Charles Levi Porter, 50, railroad yard brakeman who resided at Rosemont, near Brunswick, was found in a rowboat on the river, about three-quarters of a mile west of the Brunswick bridge, last evening. The County Medical Examiner said he had been dead several hours. He returned a certificate of death due to a coronary occlusion. Other fishermen found the boat and body after members of the Porter Family became uneasy when he failed to return from the fishing trip. Mr. Porter was well-known in the Brunswick area and was an ardent fisherman. Other fishermen said they saw him rowing up the river about 8 o'clock Tuesday morning. It is supposed that he died before noon and no one noticed the body slumped in the boat. He was a son of the late Ernest L. and Daisy Mae Porter. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Ahalt Porter; a son, Burgess C. Porter, Brunswick; a granddaughter, Cynthia Ann; and a sister, Mrs. L. B. Darr, Brunswick. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen, the Brunswick Lodge of the Loyal Order of Moose, and the B. and O. Veterans. Funeral will be held Thursday afternoon with services at two o'clock (eastern standard time) at the late home. Rev. Ralph H. Miller will officiate. Interment in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick. Jesse S. Dailey, funeral director.
