The 1910 census for Seldon Wayne shows his wife as Nevada Wayne.
The 1918 WW I Draft Registration card for Selden Wayne shows his wife as Nevada Wayne.
The birth records for the children of Selden Wayne show the mother's name as Nevada Hathaway.
The death certificate issued in 1927 in Calhoun County, WV shows her name as Nevada Wayne and her father's name as James Hathaway. It erroneously gives her birth date as June 1881.
The 1930 census for Selden shows him as widowed and living with his elderly parents.
Apparently at sometime before she was married, she dropped the use of the name Sarah and used her middle name of Geneva or Neva for short. By 1910, her name of Neva had morphed into the name of Nevada which she used for the rest of her life.
