Mr. JACOB HUFFER, a well-known and prominent farmer of Middletown Valley, died on Monday at his home near Burkittsville, of inflammation of the bowels, aged about 72 years.

He is survived by a widow and five children: Mrs. Reinecke, wife of Rev. J. M. Reinecke, Thurmont; Mr. Harry Huffer, Broad Run; Mr. Charles M. Huffer, Mr. Luther Huffer and Mr. Samuel Huffer, of Middletown Valley; four brothers and two sisters: Mr. John Huffer, Washington County; Mr. Dawson Huffer, Broad Run; Mr. William Huffer, Baltimore; Mr. George Huffer, Middletown; Mrs. Wm. Ramsburg, Williamsport; and Mrs. Daniel Grove, Gapland.

The funeral took place yesterday at the house; interment was made in the Reformed Cemetery (obituary says Burkittsville); Marshall Feete was the funeral director.
