He was a lumber worker. He died of heart failure near his home in Smithfield, Pennsylvania. It is said that he went to his barn at 3 o'clock and was found dead there at 6 o'clock. His funeral services were held at the home of his son, W. C. Davidson in West Virginia. He is buried at the West on Masonic cemetery (Obituaries from Newspapers of Northern West Virginia) .
Warren married Elisha J. Ellyson, daughter of Robert F. Ellyson and Almira Jane Woodford, on 1 January 1880 in , Gilmer County, WV.1 (Elisha J. Ellyson was born on 11 April 1866 1 and died on 19 July 1930 1.)
