"Canfield '96 Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Canfield Presbyterian church for Bryan J. Bowman, 93, of 147 Court St., who died of cancer Wednesday morning at home. Mr. Bowman was born Oct. 30, 1897, in Goshen Township, a son of Charles D. and Mary Durr Bowman. He was a cost accountant for Republic Steel Corp. 47 years, retiring in 1963. He was a member of the church, where he served as elder, trustee and financial secretary and was treasurer 25 years, retiring this year. His wife, the former Vern Rupert, whom he married Aug. 20, 1917, died Jan. 29, 1969. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Cleo Williams of Canfield; three grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Helen Baird and two brothers, Glenn and Herschel are deceased. There are no calling hours. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the church memorial fund or Operation Blessing, P. O. Box 652, Canfield, 44406. Arrangements are by Lane Funeral Home, Canfield. "
