Roscoe Hathaway, 86, died Friday, Jan. 13, 1995, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital, Ohio, after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Grantsville and resided in the Wadsworth and Barberton area for 50 years. He was a pipefitter with Local 219, retiring in 1973. He was a faithful member of Akron Baptist Temple.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edna; sons and daughters-in-law, Denzil G. and Fran, Robert D. and Shirley, all of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Bill, Michele Tomon, Chris Miller, Bryan, Jayne Peterson, Tim and Carla Hathaway; great-grandchildren, Josh, Jessica, Jaime, Jennifer, Ricky, Bryan, Zack, Amber, Matthew, Alissa, Courtney, and Chelsea; and brothers, Olis of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and Homer of Parkersburg.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Services were held at Hilliard Cox Mullaney Funeral Home, Wadsworth, with Rev. Michael L. Nichols officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
