This payment card shows his service as "Pt G 54 Ky V M I" which may be Platoon G, 54th Kentucky Volunteer Mounted Infantry. Typically such designations were by Company instead of Platoon so this may actually mean Company G, 54th KY Volunteer Mounted Infantry.

The gravestones include at least one tall obelisk family monument and one small flat marker. Both are very much weathered and difficult to read. The tall obelisk has Haden's name at the top, followed by his wife, and then 2 children, Willie and Birdie.

As best as can be made out from photographic proof and without doing a physical rubbing of the inscriptions, it reads as follows:
