Mrs. Henry A. (Louise) Verkins, 71, 307 Sioux Street, died at 10 PM Wednesday at her home of a heart attack. She had been in poor health for three years. She was born in Lewiston February 10, 1873, and had lived here (Winona) for 52 years. She was married March 20, 1895, at Trempealeau. Survivors are her husband; two sons Robert H., Minneapolis, and Sylvester, Manitowoc, Wisconsin; one daughter, Mrs. Olga Zimdars, Winona; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Norris Northup, Mrs. Lena Hanson and Mrs. William Crivits, Sr., Trempealeau, and one brother Julius Kramer, Trempealeau. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday at the Fawcett-Hillyer Chapel, Dr. H. D. Henry officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel Friday afternoon and evening.
