• His obituary was published on 3 July 1963. Funeral services for Gordon Northup (sic), 47, former resident here, were held in Minneapolis following his death last week in Veterans Hospital, Minneapolis. He had been a patient six months.

He was born in Winona in 1915 to Mr. and Mrs. Norris Northup (sic), moving with them to Trempealeau as a boy. He was graduated from Trempealeau High School and married the former Agnes Larson in 1938 at Colfax. Following their marriage the couple lived in Minneapolis where he was employed in the maintenance shops of the Soo Line Railroad. He was a veteran of European service in World War II.

Survivors are: His parents, living in Trempealeau; his wife; a son, John, and a daughter, Velma, Minneapolis, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Blanch Reichert, Prescott, and Mrs. Dena Leadstrom, Eau Claire.
