WAUPUN--Alice (Possin) Van Horn, 73, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 1986.
Funeral services will be held Monday (today) at 8 PM, from the Kohls Funeral Home, Waupun, with the Rev. James A. Herbolsheimer officiating. Burial will be Tuesday morning at the North Burnett Cemetery.
Mrs. Van Horn was born Oct. 31, 1913 in the town of Chester, Dodge, the daughter of G. E. and Mathilda (Beck) Possin. She was married to Charles L. Van Horn, in December of 1949.
She was a graduate from Waupun High School in 1932; attended Wayland Academy; attended Wartburg College; and also graduated from Franklin School of Science and Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was employed as a medical laboratory technician at various hospitals, including Oshkosh, Beaver Dam, Peoria, Illinois, and Belvidere, Illinois; and at the Veteran's Administration Hospital at Wood, Wisconsin. The couple resided in West Milwaukee until their retirement in 1961, then moved to Palmyra, Wisconsin, and also resided at Lakeland, Fla.
Survivors include two brothers, Elmer Possin and Chester Possin, both of Waupun, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 1976. Friends may call at the Kohls Funeral Home, Waupun Monday (tonight) from 6 to 8 PM, the hour of service.
