Agnes was enumerated twice in the 1880 US Census. The first time was on 5 June 1880 while she was living with her parents in Owatonna, Steele County, Minnesota. Within the next two weeks, she moved in with her married sister, Loretta, who was living about 50 miles away in Spring Valley, Fillmore County, Minnesota. Lorreta was a milliner and her younger sister came to work with her in her millinery shop. On 22 June 1880, Agnes was enumerated for a second time in Fillmore County, Minnesota.
