  General Notes:

Susan's sister, Sarah A. Lightfoot-Rodecker and her husband Daniel along with Sarah's uncle Henry Russell were killed as the result of a train hitting their wagon. Also in the wagon was Susan Hershey & her 2 children. The three of them escaped with injuries.

The story appeared in the Findlay Weekly Jeffersonian on 25 January 1894 page 1.
