bullet  General Notes:

The name of "Erastus Krebs" appears twice in the 1880 US Census in Calhoun County, Michigan. Once he is shown living as a farm laborer with the William Hoyt family and another time he is shown living with his half-brother, Levi, also in Calhoun County, Michigan. His twin brother "Arastus" is not found in the 1880 US Census so that brings up the possibility that one of the 1880 records is really Arastus even though the enumerator spelled the name as Erastus which caused him to be confused with his twin brother. Another possibility is that both records are really for the same Erastus who may have been living only part time at each residence and that his twin, Arastus, remains unfound in the 1880 US Census.
